N. E. Riggs builds universes the way other people build hobbies: obsessively, joyfully, and with a suspicious amount of math involved.

Originally from Chicago and now living in Vincennes, Riggs teaches mathematics by day and constructs worlds by night, crafting science-fantasy stories full of cosmic puzzles, sentient myths, and characters who refuse to follow the outline.

Riggs loves mixing fantasy and sci-fi in strange, brilliant ways, and has been known to explain entire magic systems using probability theory (with apologies to anyone still recovering from algebra). Hard sci-fi is avoided intentionally:
“Writing it would mean putting data sets and equations in the book, and I’m not here to retraumatize anyone with math.”

Riggs’ worlds draw inspiration from mythology, theology, and the “what if?” questions that keep storytellers awake at night. Readers who enjoy deep lore, playful humor, slow-burn mysteries, and interconnected universes will feel right at home.

Riggs is happiest when readers debate theories, connect clues, or catch subtle references that were hidden on purpose.
