Brook Adams dropped out of high school at aged 16. He left the Northern Maine fishing village, where he was born, to see the world. After four hours on a bus, Brook reckoned there was enough world to see -- and more than enough men to fall for -- right where he'd landed, in Portland, Maine. So, he stayed, fell in love (for the first time), and became a lobster. After many happy years clawing his way to the top of the rough, tough, dog-eat-dog lobster business -- and falling in and out of love more times than he'd shed his shell -- Brook reckoned he'd hang up his tail and write about all the loves he'd encountered, real and imagined. To the amazement of many (particularly Mrs. Stritch, his high school English teacher), Brook turned out to be an excellent story teller ... or are they just stories? Even though Brook loves to kiss and tell, we may never know the truth.
