Tara lives in New York with her wife, stepson, and a small horde of furry beings who continuously try to trip her down the stairs at two o'clock in the morning.

When she's not stepping around and over two dogs and two cats she can be found drinking iced tea (because you can leave the south but the south never leaves you) while drawing, reading, and writing about naughty aliens and monsters.

Her love affair with monsters all started with Beauty and the Beast (in all types of media) and Hellboy, because who doesn't love an intergalactic demonic Prince of doom and a scientifically altered fish husband?
