Elisabeth has been an archivist, librarian and humanities teacher and worked in the public and private sectors and in independent schools. Her early years were spent in Western Queensland and Brisbane; for a number of years she lived abroad.
She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Queensland - Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and History, and post-graduate qualifications in education and information management. In her career she has established and managed archival, museum and art collections. She believes in the importance of maintaining the documentary record so our stories can be discovered and told, and has a particular interest in cultural and educational history, women's stories, and how ideas shape society over time.
Elisabeth has published articles in history and professional journals, and in 2006 won a national
award for best article of the year.
When not exploring collections for research, she enjoys travelling to remote places, bush-walking and painting in watercolour. She is an Associate of the Australian Library and Information Association and lives in Brisbane. A Clear Vision is her first book.
