She is the creator of The Fun & Furry Tales of Rex series, inspired by the true story of her beloved rescue dog, Rex. Told through the joyful voices of rescued puppies, her debut picture book, The Fun & Furry Tales of Rex: Adoption Day!, invites young readers to discover empathy, hope, and the beauty of forever families.
Before returning to her first love of storytelling, Jamie spent over a decade working in public service as a federal civil rights investigator and housing professional, advocating for fairness, dignity, and community. That same heart for justice and compassion now shapes her writing for children and families.
Jamie writes stories across multiple genres, from heartwarming picture books to imaginative fantasy and thoughtful fiction, all connected by a belief in courage, connection, and the power of stories to inspire.
