While on vacation in Santa Fe with his wife, Lt. of Detectives Mike Damson solves a murder that has root in the early history of Santa Fe. While attending a party for the students at a cooking school that his wife is attending, the famous chef who teaches the school is murdered. In the absence of other clues, Mike works to find the motive which turns into a hunt for a seventeenth century treasure.
