More Details
Historic Indian Trails of Georgia is written for both youth and adults, to familiarize the reader with Indian trails and Indian data in the state of Georgia. It is the intention of the author to gain the interest of the reader in order that the reader can participate in the ongoing search for a greater understanding of Georgia's Indian Heritage. Georgia contains the remains of a vast and rich Indian culture. The book is arranged in three parts. Part One describes some of the major Indian trails or roads, giving the reason for the creation and how they developed into the system we recognize today. Part Two is comprised of detailed data on the location of all major Indian trails and roads in Georgia. Part Three is an alphabetical listing of Indian towns, interesting places, forts and missions. This listing covers every part of Georgia and special attempts have been given to the exact location when known. A foldout map will facilitate locating specific trails. There are accompanying pictures that unite certain trails and places.
