Kaylee Morrison grew up basically alone. Always tormented by her aunt and feeling like the black sheep of the family. Feeling that she will end up being the old maid in the family until the day she finds a magazine in the shop she works at and sees classified advertisements for men seeking wives. She wonders if this would be the answer to her life of loneliness. She begins writing to a young rancher in Wyoming and after a few letters she decides to leave the only home she knows and travel to meet this man.
In the town in Jackson, Wyoming just outside the town rancher Gil Cosgrove is waiting for his future bride to arrive. It is Kaylee who helps Gil recuperate from his accident which left him with a broken leg and together they seem to find strength and bond together. It is Gil who helps her realize that it’s time to put the past behind her, to see she has him standing beside her always.
She returns back to her home town and to the family who frowned on her and caused her to leave, only this time she was a confident woman who knew what she wanted and had found the happiness she deserved all those years.
