Her first memory was of the ocean. The wide, blue mystery of the sea. Jean could remember standing on the beach, her legs still chubby from youth, as the grains of sand stuck to her bare skin. The cool ocean lapped gently at her toes and her friend watched her protectively. Jean has been taught to fear the sea and the monster that torments her island. The creature has cut the island off from all outside contact, driving away merchants until the mayor is desperate to find a way to appease the beast. And there is one way to reclaim the island. The Monster wants something on the island. Or rather...someone.
