More Details

The purpose of this book is to present the fundamental concepts involved in the design and analysis of engineering experiments, with a strong emphasis on practical applications. For this reason, each concept in the book is followed by a solved engineering example, for a total of 100 examples. In addition, there are 99 problems listed at the ends of the chapters. The examples and problems cover a broad range of engineering fields, such as mechanical, civil, electrical, and metallurgical, and applications involving propulsions, household appliances, computers, structures, automatic control systems, chemical reactions, etc. The techniques presented may be extended to other fields. Charts, graphs, and tables are provided in the text and in the Appendix to minimize computations in solving problems. Included are a list of symbols, a glossary, and references and extensive bibliographies at the ends of the chapters.
