With the school year in swing, Ana is finally beginning to feel like she belongs. Her friends seem happy, the mischievous Fyrenza is growing, and despite the teasing digs from the usual suspects, academic life seems good.

However, when a fellow student – and her bonded dragon – are both killed in an apparent accident, Ana and her friends receive a disturbing tip. What if the student wasn’t a student at all, but an undercover private eye, sent by the parents of a previous student to uncover nefarious activity in class?

Ana, her friends, and Fyrenza set out to investigate, and soon discover that beneath the gleaming, clean exterior of Galfour’s Point lies a dark underbelly, and a network of dark magic that threatens not just the student body, but the world.
