From when it was named in 1616 until the present day, Cape Horn has had a rich history filled not only with tales of perilous voyages but also with landmark discoveries such as those made by Darwin and Magellan. Cape Horn also played a pivotal role in the race to trade in new and exotic spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon.
