Patrul Rinpoche (Dza Palge Tulku Rinpoche, Tibetan: རྫ་དཔལ་སྤྲུལ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ Wylie: rdza dpal sprul rin po che, 1808–1887) was a prominent teacher and author of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. He is particularly associated with the Longchen Nyingthig ("Heart-Essence of the Vast Expanse") system revealed by Jigme Lingpa (1730–1798)—of whom his root guru, Gyalwe Nyugu, was a direct student—and was closely connected to the Rimé or non-sectarian movement of nineteenth-century Eastern Tibet.
