C.M. Sipes is an avid reader and writer who was inspired by the work of Anne Rice. Darkness Is Rising is her first novel, and has provided her the opportunity to combine her passions in mythology, history, and the supernatural into one complete work. She is also a historian, who obtained her B.A. in history from Seton Hill University, and her M.A. in history from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
