Jon Amdall is a portrait artist focusing primarily on oil painting and pencil drawing. His oil paintings use alla prima technique to capture features, light, and color inspired by impressionism and impresionistic realism popularized by artists like John Singer Sargent and Richard Schmid. He graduated from the University of North Texas Health Science Center with an M.S. in Biomedical Science and the University of Texas at Dallas with a B.A. in Biology.
