I have earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, a master's degree from Gallaudet University, and a Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Maryland at College Park. He is married with one son and lives in Florida.
I am originally from New York. I became deaf at the age of 13 from the measles. Despite that obstacle, I managed to eventually earn a Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Maryland. I worked as a teacher for many years. I taught high school science at a school for the Deaf in New York. I also worked as a college professor teaching American Sign Language (ASL) as well as training teachers to work with the deaf.
In my spare time, I enjoy sports, playing chess, golf, and poker.
