He is a physician who grew up in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood of Cleveland and currently lives in the Cleveland area. He has written over 500 scientific research papers, review articles and book chapters. He is the author of several medical textbooks as well as a prior book of poetry (A Thousand Pieces) and a novel ( In the Greater Realms of Light).
