Daniel K. Seward lives in the small northern Minnesota town he grew up in. He has worked as a science teacher in an outdoor school, a server in restaurants, a librarian, and an escape room game master among other things. He has a strong background in natural science and has hiked and camped extensively in North America. Nature is quite dominant in his writing.
It is his opinion that women make more interesting main characters than guys because even though they are more physically and emotionally vulnerable, they find the wherewithal to fight for what they believe in. It is a great inner conflict that is much more dramatic and interesting than the typical posturing of men. Thus, he conceived of Sonya and the Sonya Saga.
