Daughter of Collins D. and Elizabeth Porterfield Elliott. She graduated from Peabody College. She taught in public and private schools; teacher at Howard School for more than 30 years. Authority on Tennessee history; officer of the Tennessee Historical Society. Active in educational and civic organizations including the Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Author of The Early History of Nashville 1932. Died in Nashville, Tennessee.
