Paul E. Richardson has been involved with Russia for 30 years. In his day job, he is publisher of Russian Life, a bimonthly magazine on Russian culture, history, travel and life. He has written three novels: Russian Rules (a thriller of sorts about loose nukes, mistaken identity and iPhones), The Wrong Door (Book 1 in The Wrong Trilogy, a YA novel about parallel universes and the power of words), The Wrong Time (Book 2 in the The Wrong Trilogy, a YA novel about 16th century Russia, time travel and house spirits). His tribute to the running life, Running is Flying, was published by Rodale in 2012. He also authored the decidedly more mundane Russia Business Survival Guide (7 editions), has edited several books on Russian business, culture and history, and written countless articles on Russian history and culture. His most recent book is Driving Down Russia's Spine, a chronicle of an epic road trip between Russia's northern and southern tips, with useful digressions into Russian culture and history.
