Adrian Mielcioiu was born in 1974 in Piteşti, Romania.
Adrian Mielcioiu works in the IT field as a database engineer and, as an author, he writes poetry, fictional and nonfictional prose. In 2005 he published his first book of poetry, "Despachetări carnivore"/"Carnivorous unpacking" (Eminescu Publishing House) which he signed with the pseudonym "Adrian Zalmora". In 2013, he published a second book of poetry, "Crânguri de portocali"/"Orange coppice" (Brumar Publishing House), this time signed with his real name. His last volume of poetry appeared in 2017, "Adolescenţă metalică"/"Metallic adolescence" (A.T.U. Publishing House). His poems were published in the most important literary magazines in Romania, "Vatra" (Târgu-Mureș) and "România Literară" (Bucharest). In recent years he wrote only prose, most of his stories were published online in the magazines Galaxia 42, HelionSF and Vatra.
