Ayr Bray was born in Spokane, Washington and grew up in the farmlands of Eastern Washington. She is the oldest of five children. Ayr was blessed with very supportive parents who always encouraged her and provided opportunities for her to pursue her passion of writing.

Ayr began showing an interest in writing when she was about eight years old. She was given a blue diary for her birthday from her great-grandfather. Ayr used the diary not only to record the events of the day, but she began writing short stories, poems, and new lyrics to songs she heard on the radio.

By the time Ayr reached Jr. High School she began to take writing quite seriously, and by the time she entered Moses Lake High School she was constantly found with extra notebooks in her backpack, only these weren't full of coursework, they were full of her writings.

After high school Ayr attended Rick's College, now Brigham Young University Idaho where she graduated in 1998 with an Associate's Degree in Psychology.

The summer after she attended Rick's College she met the love of her life and they married three months later. I was love at first sight. Together they attended Central Washington University where Ayr spent two years studying Juvenile Developmental Psychology. She was in her final semester and was working at a nearby elementary school when she was assigned as the counselor for a young girl who was being abused at home. She felt helpless when she couldn't help the little girl like she wanted to. Ayr withdrew from the Psychology Department not finishing her final three credits for graduation and enrolled in the Business Department.

Ayr completed the two year Accounting Program in one year and graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Accounting in 2001. Ayr chose not to accept the minor in Psychology.

After graduation she worked for eleven years for the Washington State Auditor's Office (WASAO). In 2012, Ayr left WASAO to pursue her writing career and work full-time with her husband as they traveled the United States and the World with their two sons.

Ayr loves being with her husband and sons every day. She writes with her laptop and a jar of Nutella from one of two locations; the fly-deck of a sailboat or a rocking lawn-chair under the awning of her RV.

Ayr is the author of seven Amazon Bestselling Novels and Short Stories.
