Kate Fraser grew up outside New York City as that nerdy kid with her nose always in a book. Her desire to be a writer was quenched in third grade when a book of poetry her teacher submitted was rejected by a major publishing company.
A circuitous path took her to Massachusetts, Oregon, and finally Montana where she met her husband and started teaching. After raising four children, 25 years of being a fifth grade teacher, and correcting untold piles of essays, Kate decided to start writing again.
Her novel, "Do You Really Want to Know?" seeks to honor the lives of her Holocaust survivor parents, exploring the effect on her identity as well as the current day consequences for all of us.
